is my card fried? WPC54G linksys -- slackware 10
i have a linksys WPC54G ver 2
i have followed every phreakin tutorial.. and i've done all the ndiswrapper -i lsbcmds.inf *first off, is this the right driver? i got it from the linksys website, cause i can't find my cd* ndiswrapper -l NOW this says invalid driver.. where before it just said 'driver present' instead ov driver present, hardware present. but i honestly don't know if this is the right driver.. cause i can't find my cd. wlan0 doesn't exist.. modprobe ndiswrapper goes in w/o a hitch.. but no blinky lights on the card at all.. (is the card supposed to light up on boot? not the link, but the power light? i have never set up a wireless in linux, but this card worked on my gf's laptop with win32 before i tried to use it in linux... if there is any more info, or if i'm not explaining what i did before i posted, please let me know.. i'm not trying to be lazy, i did everything the tutorials said to before i posted.. this is day 3. thanks in advance. |
