IPW2200 Wireless Card With Ubuntu Linux

Ive been doing some research as to how well the intel pro wireless 2200BG card works under ubuntu linux (the drivers supposedly come by default, which is the first distro Ive heard that has this). All of the results from my search though have just brought up problems with the card not working. I was wondering if anyone here has any personal success running the ipw2200 on a ubuntu laptop. For the record, Im thinking about putting it on my Dell Inspiron 600m.

I have been using ubuntu (5.04 "The Hoary Hedgehog") on my HP dv1040 for a while now which has an IPW2200, it works well for me although there is no out of the box support for monitor mode if that is a problem for you, this tutorial is prety good.
