Hi all,

I'm running Suse 9.1 Pro and trying to get the internet set up with my Intel Centrino 2100 card. I've tried downloading drivers and editing scripts, but I think I'm looking in the wrong place.

#iwconfig eth0 mode Managed # gives me a

"Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device eth0; Input/output error"

On top of that dmesg gives me

"
eth0: Using hotplug firmware load.
eth0: Firmare not available or load failed
eth0: ipw2100_get_firmware failed: -2
eth0: Failed to power on the adapter.
eth0: Failed to start the firmware.
"

So, it looks like my firmware might be in the wrong place. Any ideas where it should be? I tried downloading firmware and drivers from the ipw2100.sourceforge.net site, and I placed the firmware files in /usr/lib/hotplug/firmare/.

I'm not sure what to do from here...

Oh, and also, ifup eth0 gives me...

"Starting DHCP Client Daemon on eth0 ............. no IP address yet ..... backgrounding." And that's it.
