ipw 2100 on mandrake 10.1 community

I am very new to linux, and I've just installed mandrake 10.1 community on my centrino notebook becuase i've been told it supports the intel 2100 wireless adapter. But after installation it didn't recognize the adapter, i've tried installing it manualy with the network configuration tool but nothing. is it just 10.1 official that supports the intel2100, or is there something else i can try.

In order to use wireless in mandrake 10.1 community you should go to http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net/ to install the firmware and the kernel plugin.
I successfully install it on my centrino.
