Internet (Broadcom 440X) & WiFi ( WLAN 1350) Problem *Mandrake 10.0 Official
Hi, I'm having troubles configuring my internet on Mandrake 10.0.
I use a Dell Inspiron 1150 Laptop but internet just won't work under linux.
when I do ifconfig everything looks ok, except interrupt: 11 at the end (eth0), lo shows up. So I follow the steps shown by harddrake (configuration) but when I d: adsl-start I keep on getting a TIME-OUT.
Also, the wireless card does not seem to work, Linux forces me to choose through a list where my card isn't mentioned. I tried Linuxant (I uploaded the correct inf and sys file, no luck) and ndiswrapper ( bash: ndiswrapper: command not found < i did install it with rpm).
Perhaps somebody has experience with this, any effort would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sorry for not pasting logs, I tried saving some logs to my Windows partition but I can't write, only read :s

don't worry about the device lo, that is the loopback device, used for testing, etc. have you tried iwconfig, that is specifically for wireless cards. do you know what chipset your wireless card uses, if it is a prism 2, or airo or something similar, then you may be in luck

hmm
It's Broadcom I think, WLAN 1350, I have succesfully loaded the driver with Linuxant, iwconfig shows eth1 so that looks nice, the adsl connection however cannot be established, keep getting time-out , it's strange: the drivers are ok but I can't connect....

Is this the only computer hookded up to the modem, or are you using a router?
if it is the only computer with no router try setting it up with PPPoE in connection manager
