how to install wireless network for opensuse 11.1

Hi,
I have an Acer NB Aspire 9300 with AMD Turion 64x2.

I have a network card - Atheros AR2413.

I try to connect to internet, but some reasons, I still can not do it.

Please let me know how to configure my wireless NIC.

Thank you.

Wicd is a really good network manager; I prefer it to NetworkManager that many distros have as their standard wireless connection software.

Do a Google search for "wicd site" or "wicd project" and read their information. I don't use Open Suse, and it will not run live on my machine (I tried), but wireless hookups are basically the same in all distros. You will need wpa-supplicant to be installed and running if you are using wpa encryption between your remote machine and your router. If your Open Suse includes a wicd package, simply installing that may enable you to get connected. If you're attempting to use NetworkManager -- my experience is that with luck it works, and most of the time it doesn't. Wicd for me has been far simpler and more reliable. NetworkManager has been considerably improved lately, though.

Please post about the results you get. I may be able to answer some more specific questions, too.

Before installed wicd, I find another way to configure my network.

Now, it works.

Thank you for your help.
