How to identify v4 of Linksys wusb54g adapter?

I'm going to buy the wusb54g adapter from linksys. Does anyone know how I can identify version 4? I'm quite sure that v4 has a rt2570 chipset, which should work quite nicely in Linux.

I've searched a bit and visited a local store. I looked all over the shrink wrapped box, but couldn't get any clue on which version it was. It had the S/N written on it. The salesperson didn't want to open the box, and that's quite understandable.

Probably the only way would be to write down the serial number and ask Linksys. If it isn't printed on the box and the store won't open it, I can't think of any other way. Heck, even if the store would open the box you might not be able to tell without putting it in a machine. Besides, it gives you an opportunity to tell Linksys that if they can't properly mark and support their cards, you won't be a customer.
