How to connect to Internet by WiFi

Greetings! My family have three laptops and two deskops. All were connected with WiFi. I use LINKSYS. It is 2.4 GHz 802.11g Wireless PCI adapter. I have installed Mandriva in one of the desktop. I can use the writer, spreadsheet etc but can not connect to internet. I need help. With thanks in advance.

We need to know what kind of chipset is in your wireless device. Run lspci and post the relevant output.
