How do you let RADIUS server communicate with AP?

I am configurating a secure wireless access point in my school, with EAP/TLS authentication. I have followed the guidance given in two howtos,
1. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/rema...ode=flat?r=664
2. http://web.archive.org/web/200312061...-tls-HOWTO.htm

I used D-Link DWL-G520 cardbus adapter (using madwifi driver) for my AP, openssl-0.9.7-stable-SNAP-20050218.tar, and freeradius-SNAP-20050127.tar, both available in ftp://ftp.openssl.org and ftp://ftp.freeradius.org .

I had successfully created the necessary certificates (keys) and have them installed in my Win XP laptop. I could also have RADIUS running and 'waiting to process request', but somehow I do not know how to let RADIUS receive and authenticate the request from supplicant, thru the self-configured AP, because there's no interface to bridge them up.

I was thinking if this could be done using script? Since we cannot have the convenience like the pre-fab router (that comes with software). I hope anyone with more linux or unix literacy than me to teach me how can i get this done.

Your help is highly appreciated.....

Cheers,
Ron

Ron,

I posted this in your thread on DSLR as well in case you check it first.

I think this is what you need:
http://hostap.epitest.fi/hostapd/

"hostapd is a user space daemon for access point and authentication servers. It implements IEEE 802.11 access point management, IEEE 802.1X/WPA/WPA2/EAP Authenticators and RADIUS authentication server."

The README seems to be pretty detailed.

Good luck.
