how do i get the linux os to recognize 2 wire router
 
i got my 10/100 usb to be recognized but can not get the software on to the computer to recognize the router by 2 wire i have the install disk but it will not install, i know i'm missing something can some one get me a little help.

i just love the rest of the program it run great on my laptop.

and a 2 wire home 2 port , wireless capable modem

Maybe recompilig the kernel would do the trick, if you'd include support for you router. Or some other solution I don't know of.

so your computer connects to the router via USB ???

what does the command "lsusb" say about your USB router ?
did the kernel assign the USB port an Ethernet id (eth#) ???
what does "dmesg | grep eth" say ?
