It says : Call "sudo modprobe ndiswrapper" to install the needed module.

Please anyone help me!

I followed a guide :
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HowToSetUpNd...ndiswrapper%29

It said It says : Call "sudo modprobe ndiswrapper" to install the needed module.

PLease could someone help me

I currently have done all the steps up till modprobe which doesnt work.

Launch synaptic or whatever package management tool you prefer

Install the package "ndiswrapper-utils"

Call "sudo ndiswrapper -i foobar.inf" where foobar.inf is the path to your inf-file (windows wireless-lan driver).

Call "sudo modprobe ndiswrapper" to install the needed module.

Now you can set up your working Wlan device under Desktop->Administration->Networking

Dont forget to type "ndiswrapper -m" if you want to load it at startup automatically

Use the Networking tool to configure networking on the new interface, or edit /etc/network/interfaces by hand to your liking.

Since I have the same exact card, I'll help you out here..

To install ndiswrapper:
su - (makes you root, with this, you don't need to use sudo)
(enter your root password)
cd <directory> (the ndiswrapper-0.9.1 directory)
make
make install
make clean

Now:
cd /home/prometheus (or whatever directory the inf and sys file is in)
ndiswrapper -i mn720-ankh.inf
ndiswrapper -l (it should now say "mn720-ankh driver present, hardware present)
ndiswrapper -m
modprobe ndiswrapper

For the next steps, I need some information... What type of security do you use? WPA, WEP?
