How do I add a device/configure drivers?

Hello. I just installed Fedora 4 and I'm new to Linux. I use a LinkSys wireless card to connect to my router. I tried to install the drivers for the wireless card by pulling from my Windows XP computing experience. And here I am in the forum.

How do I make my internet work in Fedora?

As root at the terminal type 'ifconfig -a' do you have an entry for wlan0?

If you do then you should just be able to configure your wireless card (alias wlan0) either using iwconfig (at the terminal) or whatever FC4 uses to configure network devices.

If you don't get wlan0 then you need to install the driver for it. Check the manfucturers website to see if they provide a linux driver for your card, if they don't you can use ndiswrapper to load the windows version of the driver.

Have a look at this for a guide on how to do it.
