Help : Wifi Connection dropping with network manager

Hi

I am using ubuntu 11.10. The driver for my wireless card is the Ralink rt5370STA. In Network Manager I can connect fine but the connection is dropped each time approximately between some seconds to a few minutes. I should reconnect again to make it work.
The strange also is that when connection is dropped, iwconfig and ifconfig continue to show me associated with my access point and the ip of association in ifconfig as well.

I am using network manager with all default options, I always still near my access point and not far from it, it is frustrating to get connection dropping each time like that so I which if someone can assists me.

You could always try making sure that your router isnt using the same channel as neighboring routers (at least 5 channels lower or higher is best). If that's not it, try decreasing the beacon interval - typically its at 100 so decrease it to 50.

I have followed your idea, there is a lot of options to configure and/or may need to change after googling I issued the commands below but still get the seem issue :

iwpriv ra0 set BeaconPeriod=50 'I also tried 10'
iwpriv ra0 set RTSThreshold=2307
iwpriv ra0 set FragThreshold=2304
iwconfig ra0 rts 40

Any idea ?
