help setting up dsl connection using dwl-520+
im new to linux
im have a wirreless dsl connection at home using xp pro, everything working fine. i have a wirless pci adapter( d-link- dlw-520+; the router im using is d-link-DI-624, using ppoe) redhat 9 doesnt recognize my wireless pci adapter. I went to d-link's site and found they dont support linux. does anyone knows if there is something i can do to connect to the web using the above mentioned devices, or should I just use network cable with my internal ethernet card to get on line? also, since the computer that im trying to set up is part of a network, will affect the rest of the network in any way, ? this computer connects to the net through another computer, do i have install redhat in the computer connected directly to the dsl modem ? any advised will be appreciated, thanks |

If you want to use the ethernet card instead you can do that, should not need to change any of the other machines to do this. |
