Thank you for your message, comprookie2000. I'm not an expert on Linux, so I typed as your message says, and got the "dhcpcd not found" error, so I tried the following command:
/sbin/dhclient ra0
My wireless device is recognized as ra0 instead of wlan0. So, I typed ra0 and got the following result:

/sbin/dhclient-script: configuration for ra0 not found. Continuing with defaults.

Please make sure there is no other dhcp server
running and that there's no entry for dhcp or
bootp in /etc/inetd.conf. Also make sure you
are not running HP JetAdmin software, which
includes a bootp server.

I don't know what this error message means to me. I have a wireless Linksys router which also functions as DHCP server. Since I need to access my Fedora machine from other computers on the LAN (i.e. Windows and Macintosh machines), I set my Fedora machine so that the IP address for the Fedora machine is always the same instead of dynamic. Could this be causing the problem?
