Unhappy Finally got my Wireless working on Linux But it is really slow

After weeks and weeks of trying I finally got my wireless card to work on Linux(I installed my own custom kernel). Anyway it's a Microsoft MN-510 adapter that uses the Prism chip. The connection is really slow though(sometimes). Anyway to fix this?
