I am a complete newbie wrestling with trying to get the ipw2100 to work under fedora core 2 on my ibm thinkpad x31
this is a complete deal breaker for me, if I can't get this to work by the end of August I have to go back to win xp I'm following the instructions at http://jrblevin.freeshell.org/linux/ipw2100/ but I can't seem to get Hostap to 'make', i get this error: Code:
[root@dhcppc0 hostap-driver-0.1.3]# make Code:
/lib/modules/2.6.5-1.358/build' Any ideas???!!?!!!!! Thanks in advance Nandish |

take a look at the post but you need to update your kernel to 2.6.6-1.435 first, up2date in FC2 will help you. and the forth link is the post is dead use this instead http://download.atrpms.net/testing/p...c2.at.i686.rpm you will need this two rpms also http://download.atrpms.net/testing/p...c2.at.i386.rpm http://download.atrpms.net/testing/p...c2.at.i386.rpm that are the two files you need to slove the dependencies probles (the author of the above post forget to mention) it works for my compaq persario X1000 centrino nootbook.... hope it works for you |
That's for all the help, I got everything going fine until I hit the last two rpm to resolve the dependencies problems. Can any one help me out,I'm a newbie to Linux and just followed instructions. I don't really understand what I was doing?
