Fedora core 2 wireless G suggestions
I am running Fedora core 2 currently and I am looking to get a New Wireless G router. I have 2 questions.
1. Whats the best G router to get for linux 2. whats the best G card to get wtih linux (PCI) desktop I am not looking for a bunch of links to things since I have seached everywhere and everyone says something different, one place says a card is incompatable, one place says its fine I am just looking for an opinion of someone who already has a working setup!!!! What they are using, and how they got it to work, what drivers etc etc etc |
I have a netgear 802.11g router, and an Intersil 3890 mini-pci card using the Prism54 driver. Works like a charm. Normally I would have got the driver from http://www.prism54.org but I run SuSE which has the driver built-in to the distro. Check the list of supported cards on their site for more information. As far as routers I can't see how a router could be more or less linux compatible, as they don't really interact with the operating systems of the wireless clients connected to them.

Thank you very much, i will check out that site for compatability
All I know is I was looking under the list of cards in fedora and none of them look familiar, they are all weird names |
