FC4 ndiswrapper help

Hi Guys,

Having some issues in configuring a netgear wg311v2 pci driver on FC4 using ndiswrapper.

Everytime i try to install the windows driver with ndiswrapper -i 'driver name' it says installing but then when i list the installed drivers with ndiswrapper -l it says that the driver is invalid. I have copied the correct driver from the cdrom which is working in Xp for me and i have also tried the most up to date driver from the netgear website with exactly the same result.

What am i doing wrong???

Cheers

I'm pretty sure when I used my Netgear wg311v2 I had to update the firmware and install the modules are per the following article: http://www.houseofcraig.net/acx100_howto.php. It's a little long, but nothing too complicated - just try going through it all step by step.

Thanks for the reply

I have tried to follow the instructions from the link to houseofcraig, but when i ran lspci it came up with a different chipset to the ones listed. The output is:

00:11.0 Ethernet controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] 79c970 [PCnet32 LANCE] (rev 10)
Subsystem: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] PCnet - Fast 79C971
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10
I/O ports at 1080 [size=128]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at 1fc00000 [disabled] [size=64K]

Can anyone confirm what chipset this uses

Houseofcraig suggests that it is not the acx chipset

Cheers
