Do you have the gcc package installed?

I do have gcc installed

I extracted the tar file from a USB device and extracted to /usr/src
There were two archive files, one rt2500-cvs-daily.tar(1) and the other rt2500-cvs-daily.tar.gz I extracted the gz file. This was your May 08 daily

I installed your latest tar in /usr/src/ and renamed the directory to "rt2500" This is the error message that I get:

linux:~ # cd /usr/src/rt2500/Module
linux:/usr/src/rt2500/Module # make
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.8-24-obj/i386/default'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `modules'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.8-24-obj/i386/default'
rt2500.ko failed to build!
make: *** [module] Error 1
linux:/usr/src/rt2500/Module #

What did I do wrong? -- jim
