error inserting ADM8211 driver

i'm trying to get my SMC2635W wireless card working on my Gentoo. I downloaded the ADMTek driver sources from http://www.admtek.com.tw/download/ni...src_105.tar.gz and extracted all the files. Then i patched the driver using the adm8211.diff patch. After that i compiled the driver and tried to insert the module. However, when i tried to insert the module using
insmod -f 8211.o , i get this error message:

insmod: error inserting '8211.o': -1 Invalid module format

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Were you running a 2.6 kernel? It may have been written for 2.4. Try a 'modinfo 8211.o'.

I tried to take a look, but couldn't get on the taiwan site.

Maybe try ndiswrapper with the windows drivers?
