Cool DWL-520+ DWL-G520+ Ubuntu

Hi All,

Been a newbie on Linux world (3 months) and Ubuntu Fan. I would like to share with you that DWL-520+ DWL-G520+ D-link Wireless PCI and Router are just working great.
During installation of Ubuntu 5.10 "The Breezy Badger"
ubuntu.com/download/
It has all Acx drivers included and did recognize my cards.
I just had to chose the correct driver on wlan configuration screen and configure the DHCP connection with my router during installation. (hostmane, wap, ...)
After complete installation, WOW!!! Everything works just fine!!!!
I suggest for the people still having issues with DWL to switch to Ubuntu or upgrade it via the CD.
Good luck!
!!!!WE ARE SEEN THE LIGHT WITH LINUX!!!! next challenge make the webcam work!

More Info

Which Ubuntu are you using?
May I suggest you to reinstall Ubuntu via ISO cd Ubuntu 5.10 "The Breezy Badger"
ubuntu.com/download
It has all the necessary drivers for D-link cards.
Otherwise you can also do it manually for the fun!
More information you can find:
acx100.sourceforge.net/matrix.html

acx100.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page

You should have enough information with this links + if you search on the forum I have posted how DWL did work with my Ubuntu 5.10.

Hello,
I have a D-Link wireless network card.

I installed Ubuntu Warty - my network worked and kicked ass without me ever wondering anything. It was natural.
Later, I upgraded to Hoary. I noticed the applet showing network activity and double-clicked on it and I saw the nice bar displaying the signal force.
I didn't ask any question - it just works.
