dont know how to download wireless driver

i have an hp pavilion zv5000 with fedora core 4 and i'm trying connect to the internet via wireless, but when i try to create a new wireless connection, it can't connect because linux doesn't recognize my wireless card, so i need to know what to do in this case, or where to find instructions to solve this problem and also how to install if there is a procedure in how to install the drivers, because i'm a beginer. thank you very much and happy new year.

According to http://www.purplefrog.com/~thoth/zv5000/ you have a Broadcom BCM4306 wireless device. To be sure, from the console or xterm session type; /sbin/lspci -v

Maybe visit; http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...p/Installation

The step by step guide is the link I already provided and did so again at the end, no reason to duplicate the work already done by others.

Download the file; ndiswrapper-1.7.tar.gz (link provided in the wiki below)

Download the Windows Driver; ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/note...ers/80211g.zip

Follow the instructions; http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...p/Installation
