Does an AMD 1772 (WLAN) driver exists?

Does anyone know if an AMD 1772 Wireless LAN PCI driver exists? I've heard mention of a release but two hours searching has revealed nothing. I'd be grateful for any info.

I did serach the forum for this and did n't find anything so If this has already been posted sorry.

Thanks
Phil

I wasnt able to find a driver.

I did find an experimental am1771 driver from SMC at http://www.emota.com.br/wireless/extra/

This should at least be tried.

This may be a longshot, but can try http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net
this seems to have decent docs

from
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/f...ry/001005.html

- AMD Am1771/Am1772 wireless LAN chipset. This one probably won't
work: the supplied AMD driver calls lots of functions in ntoskrnl.exe
which I haven't implemented yet. This chipset is present on the
SMC 2602w version 3 card. I repeat: that's the SMC 2602w VERSION THREE.
The version 1 card is a Prism chipset. I don't know what the v2 card is.

Another note, I was able to get more hits googling "am1772"

Hope this helps. If no luck at all then maybe try returning it.
