Hello


Ok, now I'm new to linux, I just installed Mandrake 2006 yesterday. And I'm having some difficulty configurating it. My biggest problem as it is, is initializing a wireless network in order to connect to a router.

I've tried playing around and exploring Mandrake but I just don't seem to be getting anywhere.

If anyone could give me some suggestions, or just set me in the good direction, that be great.

It's a little hard to tell just where you're at in the process here.
I've been using a DWL-G510 with LE2005, and it works very nicely. Very stable. The trick was to install the MadWiFi driver. The alternative (I hear it works well too) is to use ndiswrapper.
Have you tried/done that? (There's plenty of posts of posts and documentation around for both of these approaches, if indeed that's where you're stuck.)
If you have, the next step is to set your card's parameters using ifconfig and iwconfig, then get dhcpclient running, and lastly, set your LAN stuff up, using the MCC. If I understand your question correctly (and I'm not sure I do) then you're having trouble finding or using the MCC to set up the LAN? Is that right?
