debian etch wifi problems


problems with wifi...
hello this is my first post so i would appreciate any suggestion or recommendation. I just installed Debian etch from netinstall on my laptop (Fujitsu siemens lifebook e7010) and i have problems with the wireless interface,

this is what i get with lspci:

02:0c.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)
02:0d.0 Network controller: Intersil Corporation Prism 2.5 Wavelan chipset (rev 01)



this is what i get when i type iwconfig:

lo no wireless extensions.

eth2 no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

eth1 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"test"
Mode:Master Frequency:2.422 GHz Access Point: 00: E0:001: E3:35
Bit Rate:11 Mb/s Sensitivity=1/3
Retry min limit:8 RTS thr: off Fragment thr: off

sit0 no wireless extensions.

i tried to configure eth1 and wlan0_rename in /etc/network/interfaces but i can make it work..

any suggestions.. ?

i remember seeing this before, but cant for the life of me remember why, my initial thought is udev related, but I am sure theres another cause for that rename iface. paste your /etc/udev/rules.d/z25_persistent_net.rules file
