Debian ETCH (powerpc) - AR5212 madwifi and WPA2

Hi there!

I need help configuring AR5212 wifi card to connect to a WPA2 network. I have thus far successfully connected to insecure wifi.

Am running Debian Etch with 2.6.20 kernel patch with MPC5200B (running on Efika).

Would like to do the configuration through /etc/network/interfaces. Please note that I have edited /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf without any effect. And wish to just use /etc/network/interfaces.

Thanks

p.s. A sample code for wpa2 parameters for /etc/network/interfaces would be great.

Hey,

Have you had a look in the /usr/share/doc/wpasupplicant file? Theres examples of wpasupplicant.conf configurations including for wpa2 enabled networks.

Hope that helps

Chris.
