D-Link Wireless Desktop Card SIOCSIFFLAGS: Invalid argument

Hey guys,

I just installed Fedora 8 on a Dell GX150 desktop. This desktop has a d-link wireless card in it which Fedora has seemed to pick up as an Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5005G 802.11abg NIC. When I try to join my wireless network, I got the following error that I don't seem to know how to solve.

Code:
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06): SET Failed on device wlan0; Invalid argument. SIOCSIFFLAGS; Invalid argument

Determining IP information for wlan0...SIOCSIFFLAGS: Invalid argument SIOCSIFFLAGS: Invalid argument failed.
Anyone have any idea of what I can do to debug or solve?

After doing some googling around, this seems to be a pretty common error, but none of the sites I saw gave a clear way to fix it if it was fixed at all. I saw one that stated they switched to ubuntu and everything worked fine but I would rather not if I don't have to.

Lightbulb

So apparently there is no fix to this in Fedora 8. It is fixed in Fedora 9 and works without any issues. I'm not a fan of Fedora 9 so hopefully Fedora 10 will be more appealing to me.
