I am going to buy D-link DWL-G520. I search the forums to find what the users think about that card and i cant get the answer i look (i looked 10s of topics).

Some of users says it will work easily under linux some says they cant install it.

DO you think is it good choice to buy that card?

Also, i will use it with Kismet. Is this card works fully functional with monitoring mode of kismet?

And i know that it will not work under Adhoc, i am not very sure what adhoc is (newbee alert! ), but i think it is configuration for hosts, so it will not affect me (i will not use it as AP for others to conenct, only will connect with host).

I have a pair of these cards running in both of my machines at home. I placed a recent CVS of the madwifi drivers on a usb key, and compiled the drivers as modules. Network configuration can be a little aggravating, but other than that, these cards work like a dream - for me, at least.
