D-Link DWL-122 Fedora Core 3 problem

Hello all,

I'm trying to get my D-Link 122 working on my laptop running Fedora Core 3. I've been using the following howto but I've got stuck:

http://julian.coccia.com/blog/index.php?p=53&more=1

When I plug the device in it stops at "WLAN bringing up layer 3+ with /sbin/ifup"

I'm trying to connect to an adhoc network with a Windows XP machine.

Any help would be greatfully recived.

Cheers
Benedict

Do you get any errors or can you find the logs to see if there are any errors?

Hello,

I don't get any errors it just stops at that line and does nothing. Where would the log file be located?

Cheers

I don't know which file it would be. I think "dmesg" might show something. Check /var/log for anything that might have something to do with it. Also check if you can find something with google. Otherwise try to use command line tools loose instead of ifup to set things. That might show you the step that fails.
