Custom wlan-ng with automatic scanning

I would like to be able to seamlessly switch from one network to another using wlan-ng. I have searched some here and on google, and maybe I'm just not searching the right thing. But aside from that there's another thing I would like to do. I live on campus and I have 128 bit WEP in my room under one SSID, and when on campus, they have unencrypted WEP on another SSID. Then, when on campus you are supposed to vpn to get on the network. Is there a way in linux that it will seamlessly (i.e. no user input necessary) switch to my room's WAP when in range, and then switch to the campus SSID when my WAP is not in range, and then possibly run another script to vpn automatically?

Thanks!
