connecting over linksys wet54g wireless bridge to wrt54g

I am running red Hat AS 4.0 on a box connected to an 8 port switch. The switch connects to a WET54g Linksys wireless bridge. The wireless bridge connects to a wrt54g linksys router in another room which connects to my cable modem. The problem is that I cannot get a network connection unless I force the NIC to run at 10 mb when it is connected as it is. However, if I connect it directly to the wrt54g router I can get it to run at 100 mb and get a network connection. I have a windows box connected to the switch to the bridge and it runs at 100 mb just fine. I want to know if there is a way to get the box to connect at 100 mb when it is connected to the switch to the wireless bridge.
