Changed wireless network key, now my laptop cannot access the internet.

I run slackware on my desktop, and windows 7 on my laptop.

I've been learning about networking, and I changed my wireless network key to the default on the router, because no one here could remember the password for it.

Now, my slackware comp can still access the internet, but the laptop cannot.

Name XXXXXXXX
Connection Type Wireless (802.11)
IP Address 192.168.1.71
IP Address Allocation DHCP
IP Address Type Private (NAT)
Hardware Address 90:4c:e5:12:4a:aa
Status Off

I can't figure out how to reconnect it. Help?

If you change the WPA key on the router, you need to change it on all of the devices connected to it as well. Unless you already changed it on the laptop, and it still won't connect?

Though if I am understanding your post, the laptop is running Windows 7...so I'm not sure this is the place you want to be asking for help with that.

Yes. All I had to do was change the network settings of the laptop to try and connect wirelessly using the new password.
