Cannot connect to Internet using Ralink rt2500 wireless NIC

Hello,
I installed driver for my MSI Wireless NIC (Ralink RT2500 chipset), it seems the installation was successful since I was able to run the utility and view my wireless router and my neighbors'. I'm even able to connect to my router setup page (via 192.168.0.1).

However, I still cannot connect to the internet. What did I miss here?

Thanks,
dsuratman

How are you aquiring an IP address?

When facing such a problem, I would suggest the following :

- Try to ping an ip address somewhere on the web (the numeric ip, not the dns name)

If it doesn't work, first check your default gateway.
If your gateway seems correct, check your firewall rules

- Try to ping some address by its name :

If it doesn't work, i would bet the problem comes from your dns servers configuration : check your /etc/resolv.conf
