Can't connect to wireless internet!

Help!
I'm a complete newbie to linux and I just installed SUSE 9.1 personal. I stuck in my belkin F5D6020 Ver 2 wireless card and it beeps and lights up, but when I open up the internet I keep getting unknown host which I assumes means I'm not connected. I tried fooling around in Yast with the settings, but no luck.

im still working on the problem, but go here:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ghlight=f5d600

when they guy says yast created the ifcfg thing in /etc/sysconfig, you will have to open kwrite or a text editor (as root) and copy the text he says in there and save it as /etc/sysconfig/ethcfg_whatever

still not internet here, but kwifi is showing wireless network activity, and ifconfig and iwconfig (both to be run as root) show a new network device. :-)

post back and share your result.

DA i had the same problem, and i fixed it by running >dhcpcd eth2 as su.

this gets your ip address using dhcp. just replace "eth2" with your nic and it should work if the only thing you are missing is an ip address.
