Question Can't make PCMCIA Atmel AT76C503A WLAN card load

Hi

Well I bought this PCMCIA WLAN card that claims to be Linux compatible, but is only supported for Mandrake. It is based on the Atmel AT76C503A chipset, which I have discovered is almost always used in USB versions of this card, so finding anything useful about the PCMCIA is hard!

I've read SuSE 8.2 kernel 2.4.20 which I have supports this chipset, not sure whether that extends to the PCMCIA version.
My exact kernel is 2.4.20-4GB-athlon.

Tailing /var/log/messages upon inserting the card presents me with:

Jul 30 18:59:16 spiral cardmgr[1068]: unsupported card in socket 0
Jul 30 18:59:16 spiral cardmgr[1068]: product info: "OEM", "11Mbps Wireless LAN PC Card V-3"
Jul 30 18:59:16 spiral cardmgr[1068]: function: 6 (network)

So it's apparently not finding an appropriate module to load for it...

Any ideas?
