Broadcom wireless BCM43228 not working

Experts:

I have Ubuntu 20.04 LTS running on a Dell Precision M4700 that started life out on a similar laptop, an ASUS N56V. Everything worked when I booted the installation up on the Dell except WiFi. I haven't been able to get that working yet and I'm hoping for some pointers. Both laptops use NVIDIA graphics. The ASUS used a Quallcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG wireless and the Dell uses Broadcom, hence the beginning of the issue.

The relevant section from sudo lspci -vnn -d 14e4: output is
03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM43228 802.11a/b/g/n [14e4:4359]
Subsystem: Dell BCM43228 802.11a/b/g/n [1028:0014]
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17

Capabilities: [160] Device Serial Number 00-00-31-ff-ff-25-a4-17
Capabilities: [16c] Power Budgeting <?>
Kernel driver in use: wl
Kernel modules: bcma, wl
In Software & Updates I enabled Using Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source from bcmwl-kernel-source (proprietary).

Looking in Settings - WiFi it says No WiFi Adapter Found.

Running sudo lshw -C network gives me:
*-network DISABLED
description: Wireless interface
product: BCM43228 802.11a/b/g/n
vendor: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries
physical id: 0
bus info: pci@0000:03:00.0

serial: a4:17:31:25:65:b9

capabilities: pm msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list ethernet physical wireless
configuration: broadcast=yes driver=wl0 driverversion=6.30.223.271 (r587334) latency=0 multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11
resources: irq:17 memory:f7d00000-f7d03fff
The hardware switch for WiFi is ON. Any ideas how to make the adapter ENABLED? WiFi works just fine when I boot into Windoze 10.

Thanks,
linuxguy1454

Go to the Ubuntu software center (or whatever they are calling it these days) and look for something called "Additional Drivers." There's a good change the required drivers will be there.

Thanks for trying. It's Software & Updates - Additional Drivers. I had gone there. That's where I selected Using Broadcom 801.11 Linux STA wireless driver source from bcmwl-kernel-source from the original setting of Do not use the device before posting the question.

Maybe someone else has an idea to get this wireless working. It's like the system knows what it is, but somehow the driver isn't working. I'm not confident in building the driver from sources.
