Broadcom 4318 - Working, but not with WEP

Hi,
I've got a Dell 1370 miniPCI Wireless card (Broadcom 4318 chip according to lspci)
I've managed to get wireless network working using ndiswrapper and bcmwl5 driver (R115321.EXE from Dell website)

iwconfig wlan0 essid MyID key off
iwconfig wlan0
I get ....ESSID:MyID.. ok

When I turn on WEP encryption on the wireless router (D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G) I do
iwconfig essid MYID key MYKEY-XXXX-XXXX-X...
iwconfig wlan0
I get ....ESSIDff/any...

iwlist wlan0 key
wlan0 2 key sizes : 40, 104bits
4 keys available :
[1]: MYKEY-XXXX-X... (104 bits)
[2]: off
[3]: off
[4]: off
Current Transmit Key: [1]
Security mode:restricted
Authentication capabilities :
WPA
WPA2
CIPHER TKIP
CIPHER CCMP
Current key_mgmt:0x0
Current cipher_pairwise:0x0
Current cipher_group:0x0

I notice that WEP is not included in Authentication capabilities, but WEP works in WindowsXP.

Btw: I use Wireless Tools v28 and Wireless Extention v19, Kernel v2.6.15.5

Any ideas?

Solved it... I had to specify encryption mode to open

iwconfig wlan0 essid MyID key open XXXX-XX.....

See bottom of:

I don't know about your led, but I have to push Fn+F2 to activate my wireless led (Dell D610). Fedora Core 4 don't have drivers for this card. Check out ndiswrapper wiki on how to install and use windows drivers. I have made a link to the correct drive for the Dell 1370 Wireless card in the the wiki List.
