Broadcom 4312 wlan card not detected in Back Track 4


I jus installed backTrack 4 in my dell vostro 1500 laptop.
My Dell Wireless 1390 802.11g Wi-Fi Mini Card is not detected.

You need the kernel modules b43, and ssb for that. Check you have them. Don't use ndiswrapper & stuff, as you don't need it. Beware that sometimes these are blacklisted (in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist) and you have to remove them.
ifconfig wlan0 up
iwlist wlan0 scan
See how you get on

I got my wifi worked...

wat i did is i jus updated my kernel from 2.6.30 to 2.6.32.

Wifi just worked perfectly after updating the kernel........

:-)
