Question BlueZ-4.58 is installed, but bluetoothd is not running, says "Unable to get on D-Bus"

Hi All,

I have installed BlueZ-4.58 on my system with kernel version 2.6.31 distribution - fedora core12.

My installation was successful but whenever i try to run bluetoothd, it says

[root@localhost test]# /usr/local/sbin/bluetoothd -dn
bluetoothd[3526]: Bluetooth daemon 4.58
bluetoothd[3526]: Enabling debug information
bluetoothd[3526]: parsing main.conf
bluetoothd[3526]: discovto=0
bluetoothd[3526]: pairto=0
bluetoothd[3526]: pageto=8192
bluetoothd[3526]: name=%h-%d
bluetoothd[3526]: class=0x000100
bluetoothd[3526]: discov_interval=0
bluetoothd[3526]: Key file does not have key 'DeviceID'
bluetoothd[3526]: Unable to get on D-Bus

I guess this is some D-Bus but unable to figure where is it going wrong. can someone please help?

Question is why are you building bluez from source when fedora has already packaged this as an rpm for you ?
Code:
yum install bluez
will install the software for you and as well as the dependencies which include dbus.

You need to install dbus, but i would just install using the command i gave u as that takes care of the dependencies.
