Blitzz BWI605 802.11b Card doesn't register under gentoo liveCD, Any workarounds?

I have a Blitzz BWI605 802.11b WiFi card using the ADMTek 8211 Chipset. Yeah it's the cheap one that you get at Wal-Mart. Anyhow, I'm trying to set up Gentoo on my computer down in the basement and I was wondering of there was any way to make the minimal LiveCD( I have 2004.2 R1 - it's an experimental one that uses the 2.6 smp kernel but I have to use it because the official release doesn't boot with my BIOS ) anyhow it has wireless card drivers but I don't know if any of them will work with my card. I'm rather new to wireless networking with Linux... Any help here would be apreciated.

Oh. ADMTek has sources for the driver and has compiled it for RH 7.3/8 but to compile it for another kernel requires that I recompile the kernel as well which I don't know if I can do that with the Gentoo 2004.2 LiveCD..
