Best Linux Compatibility PCMCIA WIFI Card?

My laptop has Broadcom inside which works fine with ndiswrapper but I'd like to play around a bit with aircrack which doesn't support ndiswrapper. From the aircrack website, I see what cards are supported under Windows but no real information for Linux.

Does anybody have any suggestions for what 802.11b&g PCMCIA card I should get that is know to be very compatible with Linux as well as aircrack? Thanks!

Hello fizgig10,

You best bet is to check the HCL list for your distro. Your sig doesnt say which one you are running so I cant help you further.

I'm using mepis. I don't mind if the drivers need to be installed manually, I can do that fine. I just see that some network cards are more compatible than others.

No. All network cards were made equal :)

Realtek, orinoco and prism2 all seem to work fine. Maybe best to ask on the forums at netstumbler.
