atmel drivers dont' seem to load

I just installed the atmelwlandriver for my SMC2662W USB adapter, but when I plug in the device and use 'dmesg' I see the following:

usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using adress 2
usbvnet5A: version magic '2.6.5-1.358custom PENTIUM III REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3' should be '2.6.5-1.358 686 PENTIUM III REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3'

how to solve this?
