Asus X450CC Wifi Hard Block Unfixable

The wifi for the Asus X450cc is unfixable. Wifi worked once then was continually hard blocked. Ubuntu was dual booted to Windows 10. Changing wifi driver does not work. Workarounds found on ubuntuforums does not work. Blacklisting asus_nb_wmi does not work. Error is not limited to ubuntu but also to other distros so problem is probably in kernel. No other alternative was found to solve this problem.

Hello and welcome to the forum

First, please read here. While I have no idea how to resolve your issue, at least at this point, a suggestion to help you get more replies would be to post details concerning the issue. As an example, did this happen all of a sudden for no reason or was this the result of a security or other software update/upgrade? Or a program that you installed or uninstalled?

Also, please open a terminal and post the entire results of these commands...

Code:
lspci -nnk | grep -i net -A2
Code:
lsmod
Code:
iwconfig
Code:
sudo lshw -C network
Code:
rfkill list
Disclaimer: Be careful with commands that are prefaced with "su" or "sudo." They will essentially allow root access to your system. Mistakes could possibly damage or even destroy your OS.

Regards...
