Asus WL-167G startup

Hi,

I recently bought an Asus wireless WL-167G 802.11g 54Mbps.

I have correctly installed the driver (kernel module rt2500).

All I need to do now is start the thing!

I configured it as ra0 ( like eth0 and eth1) witch shows up during boot.

I tried to use iwconfig but it wasn't listed.

Any advice?

I've had many problems with trying to install this "easy to install" software to get the ASUS WL-167g NIC running.

Has anyone had any success on FC5 or Red Hat 9? ASUS have washed their hands of support suggesting I change the source code to fit the OS.

After weeks of trying, ndiswrapper worked for me. (I'm using ubuntu, but it worked with mandriva as well).
Just install ndiswrapper (ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net) and use driver rt2500, that you can find in one of the windowsdirectories on the cd-rom as driver.

If you need more help, post it or contact me.
