Asus laptop, onboard wireless?
 

Hi, i'm having some trouble recognising and configuring what i believe is a mini-pci card in my laptop.

Laptop is an Asus A2800S running debian with kernel 2.6.11.2.

Could anyone help me out?

i've read numerous texts, tried a few programs, but there's one last problem, i don't have windows drivers, i think it may be a broadcom device, but nothing i do can detect it.

i even downloaded SuSE 9.2 live eval. and plugged that in, detected everything else, but nothing in the realm of wireless.

Has anyone else configured a laptop such as this? Or does anyone have the correct drivers?

Have a look on the Asus website or on the HCL on this site. One of those should tell you exactly what hardware you have inside your laptop, including links to the Windows drivers if you want to try using ndiswrapper to configure your wireless connection. Can't see anything in lspci pointing towards your card though.
