aspire 3003Wlci w/ bcm 4318 wifi

Hello I am new to this board, so this is my intro

Alright heres the deal. I installed ndiswrapper, everything went fine. ndiswrapper -l reads driver installed, hardware present. My system had it recognized last night. Now I can find it. I type iwconfig and get
lo no wireless extensions
eth0 no wireless extensions
set0 no wireless extension
This is the least of my problems.
I can only see my card I can't find any wireless routers.(I am in an area were they are dime a dozen so its not that there arent any) I figure I have to install acerhk
I compile it, everything works fine
I modprobe acerhk
then I dmesg
I get acerhk: module not supported by novell

I compiled ndiswrapper v. 1.10
I am running Suse 10.0 oss w/ 2.6.13-15 kernel
I am so confused right now, I have done everything that I can find on the web and to no avail.
If anyone has any ideas or needs more info just let me know, thnx

update: I am able to get linux to recognize my network card. I had to go back to an earlier version of ndiswrapper. And aparently I am able to pick up a network now. This is so weird. I think i am going to go cry now :'( Anyways, It might be just that wifi card is hardware enabled. So if you use a acer aspire 3003wlci it probably works without all the hassle of acerhk, just install ndiswrapper, I am currently using version 1.2

I've got a 3003lmi and i'm using ndiswrapper 1.10 and it's working fine...had big problems before but they were solved when started using a diffrent DSDT....did you try pushing the enable/disable button on the front of the laptop?

I did but I wasnt able to pick up a wireless access point. Now For the final update. It does appear that I have to load acerhk.
This is what I do to get it running after installing acerhk and ndiswrapper.

modprobe ndiswrapper
modprobe acerhk
setkeycodes e055 147
setkeycodes e056 147
I push the button at the front and bam! it works. Hope this helps anyone that has a problem similar to this
