Smile Aqua-Sim (ns-2 based underwater network simulator) Questions

Hi Everybody,

I have been using Aqua-sim for my project. I am trying to simulate a two node scenario. I have been able to write the script properly,
using VBF for routing and RMAC as the MAC protocol. The problem is, if I increase the distance between two nodes to anything greater than 100m, all the packets get dropped. Is there any specific reason for this ?

Thanks a lot.

You may need to change the value of the transmission range. In Aqua-sim,the is done in the file UnderwaterChannel.cc. The variable that is used for transmission range is distCST_. If you change the value, then you need to recompile the simulator.

best wishes.
