Any news on Truemobile 1300 drivers?

and before anyone even thinks about it- YES I AM AWARE OF THE LINUXANT wrapper ordeal thingie.

I'm a newbie that struggled with it, got it partially working once then couldn't get it back. In the process of getting it working I realized that I needed to turn off my WEP key settings and give free reign to everyone because the driver didn't have (or I didn't understand) how to get all that working.

That was in Red Hat.

So, I thought I'd drop in and see if anyone has heard about what the deal is with this driver, or even if anyone is working on getting something together that's a little more idiot proof... <sigh>

The only positive thing about this whole "I'm desperate for linux but desperately stupid at learning how to use it" ordeal is that the 3 or 4 differnt distro's I've tried have all worked first try no problem on my Dell D600 (which is a sweet laptop by the way)...

I just can't seem to wrap my mind around linux and being a medical student definitely don't have time to sit down and learn it proper like. Unfortunately I have time critical things that need doing and windows has let me down one too many times.

<sigh> this sucks...

thanks

Unfortunately for that card, linuxant and ndiswrapper are your only two options. Feel free to yell at Broadcom for that state of affairs as they are the ones who won't write linux drivers or allow other to do so.

I've got that card in an Inspiron 5100 running Slackware and it works quite nicely under ndiswrapper, WEP encryption and all.
