Another Ndiswrapper question....

1st of all

2.4.20-8 KRNL
Red Hat 9.0
WMP54G

...now that that's out of the way...

I compile the driver, modprobe it, and get it all set up in iwconfig. I connect's to my AP. then i do an " ifconfig wlan0 up" and the network goes up.

When i go to configure it perminently in the new network connection wizard, it still detects it as "other wireless modem" and asks which driver to use for the chipset. Correct me if i'm wrong, but shouldn't i see it as "ndiswrapper network card"? (or something like that)

I've been stewing on this for two days, and have been just spinning my wheels on it. Can anyone help?

I'm no n00b, but i'm not leet, so anything would help....

thanks

Mandrake 9.2 requires a script to auto-load a ndiswrapper. I suspect that RedHat 9.0 is similar. Google wifiup to see a sample script. The script is the commands that you run to manually load the driver built into a single command. Then add the command to your start-up scripts.
